A Ph.D. in Education is the highest degree one may earn in the education field. Students who earn a Ph.D. in Education have a variety of career options to choose from, depending on their area of specialization. The eligibility for the registration of Ph.D. is the students have to have the Masters in Education or M.A. in Education with at least 50% of marks. With this the students has to qualify the P.E.T. exam conducted by the University in the said subject. P.E.T. exam is exempted for the SET/NET qualified students.

GESCER has a Research Centre in Education. At present the Centre has Six Research Guides. 18 Research Scholars are perusing their studies from the Centre. Among these 4 Research Scholars has submitted their thesis and others are in the final stage of research study.
